get winavi video converter, convert your avi file to dvd files then burn using nero burning rom. easy as that. both programs come with help files and there is plenty of forums out there where people are clued up on this sort of thing so you shouldnt have a problem if you get stuck with something.

If you want to save on encoding dvd's to play on a normal player then you need to get a divx player, this means you can burn avi files right onto a dvd disk and watch it on the tv.

if you get yourself a new version of nero 7/8 theres an option called "make your own dvd" that does everything for you , converts the divx/avi/xvid to dvd format then burns it onto disc then deletes the big dvd files , thats the move
