Ive heard less and less of Techno T over the past few months. I think he might aswell quit. He's past his prime and is getting worse everytime I hear him.

I've just found out that Techno T used to be in a racist band. 'Skullheads' or something.

Top DJ exposed as racist thug


A TOP Wearside disc jockey is today exposed as a convicted thug with a history of race hate extremism.


Thousands of clubbers, who swarm to rave music venues in Sunderland, Durham and South Shields, know Kevin Turner as MC Techno T.
But to neo-nazis throughout Europe he is famous as the lead singer of white-power group Skullhead.
The band was a leading member of the "White Noise" branch of the National Front with their hits "White Warrior" and "British Pride" becoming extremist anthems.
Turner, of Durham City, recently reformed Skullhead - but said today: "We got a band together again but it is not of a racist nature this time.
"It was just about playing rock and roll."
Skullhead has been linked to gigs promoted in Slovakia, Poland and Italy in 2001 by extreme right wing groups like the Combat 18 affiliated to Blood and Honour.
In a recent internet fanzine interview Turner said: "I believe in Blood and Honour ... giving bands a chance to air the voice that they wouldn't get anywhere else."
But Turner, who runs a chain of tattoo parlours, told the Echo: "Skullhead was involved in the National Front and Combat 18 scene, but it is in the past. I am not involved in racism now, but nor am I becoming an anti-racist campaigner.
"I know people still buy Skullhead records because of what they represent and there is nothing I can do about that."
When Skullhead first split up, Turner built up a reputation as a "Hardcore House" music and rave club disc-jockey as MC Techno T.
He recently played at the New Monkey club in Sunderland and After Dark in South Shields.
He headlined the "Bass Rush" night at the DH-1 club in Durham City in August and September last year.
A spokesman for the Tyne and Wear Anti-Facist Association, which campaigns against racist groups, said: "We welcome the exposure of Kevin Turner who is known to have a history of race hate."
Turner previously described himself as an "Odinist" and a worshipper of "Northern Gods".
The extremist cause has led him into conflict with authority.
Turner spent 1989 as an inmate of Acklington Prison, and received a jail term in 1991 for grievous bodily harm after assaulting a man in Consett.

didnt know anythin about that like...i always just thought he was an mc...knew nothin of before that... and as for quittin...i heard loadsa hangar tapes with techno t on the mic givin it... "in october, i guess its all over" but i still hear him on some of the newer tapes...personnally id like to see him stick around for a while yet...hes one of the original and there will never be another like him...i deffo dont think he shud uit just yet...i reckon hes got a good few years in him yet...altho hes not as good as he used to be...he still rocks the show with his lyrical style and vocabulary...he un-parralleled by anyone in the scene today...

and i dunno why ppl give him so much stick...in my opinion he did alot for the rave scene in the early days and we shud never forget that....and we shud always be greatfull for all the good nights hes rocked in various clubs !!

i reckon he must do the dex because ppl used to say that him and reaper a think it was used to buy tunes between them or soming lik that nyway.
ive heard a lot about hes backround lik when he used to be in a gang when he was a youngin called the docter martins crew or soming. thats y hes got that doc martin shoe on hes face me pals dad used to knock about with him when he was a kid be in punk groups do illegal raves and all the rest of it

nice to see so many good messages bein posted.... i was expectin to see loadsa ppl sayin he shud quit..alot of ppl say stompin is a livin legend...no fuckin way...techno-t is the one and only livin legend... and i think he shud be around for a while yet.... obviously theres alot of ppl who still like to see him rock the show and those ppl far out-weigh the ppl who say he shud quit... i for 1 hope that he doesnt quit...at least until theres another mc on the scene who is worthy of takin over from him....and no...stompin will never be as good as T...its just cannot happen...techno-T = the boyyyyyy

techno t is lyrically the best... listen to his lyrics and listen to stompin, stompin repeats same time and time again. techno t says different or switches up the words a bit. im not knocking stompin tho cos hes great too just techno t is me fave :D

Aye true Stompin says the sames things a lot but live he is the best easily, watch at the next hangar when he comes on everyones buzzin, for rhymes I think Scotty Jays the best but he doesnt get the dancefloor rocking like Stompin. Techno T's rhymes are ok lol I think Ronez is the new Techno T - ok rhymes but dink voice nd stage presence.

now av neva hersd techno t for fuckin ages he w3as ona hangar video a had n he was hit as fuck i th0ught lyk but i lyk new style mcs a mean a used to buy colo tapes years n years ago a thought he was a waxa but his time has passed in my opinion lyk but if he still wants to mc n people still lyk his style he shud keep going
