Definetly the DJ !

I play all round the UK & Holland most weekends and non of the party's have an MC, only to introduce the DJ & close the party, but, saying that, MC's dont fit in with my style of music anyway !

A good DJ doesnt need an MC to get the crowd going, he/she should be able to do that themselves.

From what Ive heard and been told about the scene up here, many of the MC's think they are bigger than the the DJ's and just ramble on and on and dont know when to shut up. This can be very annoying for the DJ as sometimes the MC drones out the music in the monitors and and can be diffcult to mix.

IMO MC's should work with the DJ, know the music they are MCing too, know when to stop rhyming (breakowns etc), know when to shut up (when the DJ is concentrating on a mix), stop saying 'Bass' every 20 seconds and stop rhyming with an American accent :D

aye a dont mean a set from up here with just dj's cos ill av heard it before... if im listening to a set now its normally hardcore or hardhouse so the tunes r pretty new but i dont mind an mc on a hardcore set (providing hes good) but if there aint no mc im happier cos i can just focus on the tunes :D
