How can you take a step past bits? Anything digital is made of bits and there is no way around it. More powerful isn't everything, PS1 way more successful than N64, PS2 way more sucessful than dreamcast, gamecube & xbox. The only things that can decide how successful a console will be is the cost, marketing, games and how much people like it.

Course you can get cheaper than that, only thing I paid for any of me PS2 games was the cost of a blank DVD which are cheap as fuck these days. Wouldn't dare buy a console unless I could get it chipped. Plus, 360 chipping hasn't been out that long so you must of paid full price for some of the games.

Oh, and there was only 18 Xbox360 launch games ;)
