Vestax pdx2000s or technics 1210s

Which decks are better? i know that 1210's are the industry standard but i've played on 1210's and vestax pdx2000's and i think vestax are miles better than 1210's. What do other people think?

owned both had vestax pdx 2000 when they 1st came out they are much easier 2 use n hold the record in better but u still cant beat a pair of 1210s as the platter isnt as strong so both are good in there own way but if u want 2 dj its best if u use 1210s as they r the industrie standard n like a said the vestaxs are easier

a wouldn't know bout that like m8 numar are comin up in the world with their tt range theres more and more clubs usin them. imo technics need to update their dex like add more features like a stronger drive motor or summit like that cos a find that the tt500's hold better at high speeds than technix.

heres the crack, technics are the best built decks, like they soilid metal on the case and platter etc, hold the pitch well and are the industry standard (most used in clubs etc)

but its a fact they are decks out there with more torque and much better features, thats why the mark 5gs came out, so if ya talking which is best and excluding the 5gs then ya probs find they are a few deck including this vestax deck which are better decks. but most of the other decks out there are made from plastic etec

5gs are good and make up for the lack of features in the other decks but cost loads, so its all down to what u want, features and speed, or whats going to be in clubs that ya play, i would probs recommend technics if ya mooving from shit decks onto a professional model if ya aiming to break thru to play at clubs, but if ya already spot on technics or going to repleace ya 1210s then i would recommend looking around the vestax and other makes as they are some really good alternatives for around the same price.

see all these other companies have worked out over the years that no one can beat technics on reputation so thats why many have simply up'd the specs of they top model decks so they are better peices of kit, but the advatnages of having 1210s is they are the main used decks in our scene and many others, so wud go for 1210s first time around and if ya ever have to replace them go for the alternatives once ya spot on the 1210s

i asked this same question when i was getting new decks!Opted for vestax pdx 2300's (newest model at the time) and I love them!But lately I think I shuda got 1210's cos every time I'm playing out to a crowd I'm using Technics n cos I aint got them in the house I'm not as confident with them for tricks(scratching,throwin tracks in etc) as I could be:P Next purchase for me though CDJ 1000's Oh Yessa!

Only used 1210's but thats all I'd use, wouldnt bother sing Vestax because no other places do so might as well get good on the decks that you'd be using at a club

if your abit boring like the northeast scene and just beat match then technics all the way there the most simple decks you can get

but if your into scratching ect the vestax are perfect there more advanced then technics atm
