aye people calling bars wot arnt bars, 32 beats aint a bar like,
bars are how many beats worth they use to make the tunes, so like makina uses 4 bars x 4 others types of music may use different lay outs, like use 6 beats to make the bar and use 4 bars to make a phase. mad how people call 32 beats a bar wonder who started that crap coz its caught right on lol

about 165 bmp for makina, about 150-155 for scouse but its not rigid bpms, and for ya break downs if they going to be long they need a few different phases coming in so they change to help drag the breakdown out, if its a short break down then u dont need as many changes, just depends how u want the tune to progress, some tunes change every 64 beats to keep them intresting, which works well when its cheesey or happy, if its more serious u can drag it out to double the length to make it progress slower whcih works better for other styles

best thing to do is find a tune in the same style as what you want to make and listen to it closely and count how long it takes and notice what it does its self and copy it, if ya making ur own tune with own melodies etc then no ones gona notice to much if ya rip someones lay out as it will sound totally different anyways. and is a good way to get up and running with a formula that u know works well

for break downs u can stick as many bars as u want in to help build the tune back up. Changing the tempo of the bass beat is also a good trick e.g. getting it faster and faster for the build up until the tune kicks off again.
