Probs the daftest name for a console ever innit. I fancy one like, purely for the fact it's completely different to any other console the way you can control things by moving the controller around. I reckon it'll take off big time like, plus the fact they've got it out for xmas whereas the PS3 isnt out until feb/march is it. Sony have dropped a clanger there imo.

To be fair like the launch games are crap on the whole. Only really Monkey Ball that I would buy out of the 25 or so that came out on launch day. However some belters in the pipeline, plus lets not forget you can download loads of old Nintendo classics from the Nes and Snes days. Gotta be worth it for the oldschool enthusiasts alone lol :39:

Wouldn't class them as shit games........both revolutionary in their day.

And Wii Sports comes free with the console so thats another reason to buy one. Looking forward to trying the tenpin bowling out myself.

theres a few good launch games to get... zelda, need for speed carbon, redsteel, monkeyball. plus the VC games, Goldeneye will be out shortly... :D

good point like, i wont bother using it on me bedroom telly coz its only small, ya dont really need a flat screen on ya wall, just a decent sized telly but ya wrong by saying its shite, whats actually so good about the PS3 apart from better grafix, not alot, nintendo is already making profit over the Wii and sony will never make a profit on the PS3... all xbox n sony av done is try to nock out the best gfx thinking thats wot everyone wants, so wrong, the wii has took over...

you can download the games using Wii Points...

NES Games = 500 points
SNES Games = 800 points
N64 = 1000 points
MegaDrive = 800 points
TurboGfx16 = 600 points

and it's £10 for 2000 wii points. not the cheapest but ya can still get a few games for a tenner which isnt too bad. Plus you also need a gamecube controller or the 'classic' controller to play most of the games.

even still on a small tv light guns and that never seemed to be that harsh, infact if anything the smaller screens made them easier

i reckon the new controllers look class, might seem a bit strange but most new things do before u get used to them and not like any more new banngin games wont come out, and as for the points a bet when u buy stuff u get them as well as bonuses for buying new games etc

I wudnt dare pay to download old games, they might of been good games at the time but they wont be good now. If you have just payed 30+ for brand new FPS for the Wii and its got good gameplay, graphics, storyline ect, Why would you want to pay to play goldeneye which is 100 times worse?

bcoz not everyone buys a console to av the best graphics n gameplay, people are more into fun games n tht now as the gfx are already good enough to play since the gamecube, ps2, xbox... ya right some of the retro games will be boring, but some of the oldies like goldeneye, streets of rage, sonic, yoshie world n all tht are always good to av a crack with.

aye i know, they've done well to make money like, by charging you less, but ya end up paying more. so you think its alot cheaper than the ps3 n xbox n stuff but ya end up forking more out like

£180 for console
ya gunna want at least 1/2 games wen ya buy it theres £70
your gunna want another wiimote and nunchuck..
then you need to but a classic controller or gamecube controller.
then ya gunna try the VC games out, there's another £10/20
so ya still end up spending over £300 lol........

I rekon the Wii looks pretty mint and sounds orite for the price. However I cant help thinkin that the 179 bar ya pay isnt gonna be all ya pay, coz ive found that when ya frst get a console, ya expect to pay how much their advertised for then ya find ya get shite all with the cunt and the twat in the store recommends this and that until yav emptied ya wallet for em and ya get home findin yav spent all ya hard earned cash
