coming up with a dj/mc name

dunno if its just me or does any1 these days think it is hard 2 come up with a decent, catchy name 4 mc'in nd dj'in??
av been through a whole list ov names, thought hard and still cant settle with 1 lol, either coz it doesnt sound gud and hav that "catch", or it pops up on a flyer :mad: .
am not sure if any other ppl find it hard, or it could just b me :confused:

just wanted 2 know thats all.

also lookin at how quake came up win his name, it seems like a canny way 2 come up win a name.
nd slides point, 2 imagine c'in ya name apperin on a flyer, thats gud aswell.

i totally disagree that you need a name that rhymes with stuff so u can make lyrics, as long as u like it and its catchy thats all that matters......for example "my name is mc ronez, my name is mc ronez, my name is mc ronez, fuck all rhymes with mc ronez" <---- one of the cleverest rhymes about, although it sounds canny shit hes made a lyric about not being able to make lyrics that rhymes with his name..


also, my name is mc magic.......ive been a small time mc in my local area for about 4 1/2 years and fairly recently one of ace/tazos mates have appeared on the open mic sessions on the balcony at the end of the monkey also called mc magic. i didnt take his name as ive never met him aaaaand ive been mc'in longer but that doesnt make me or him a schnide. shit happens!...fair enough if you call yourself mc stompin or stupid 'almost' copies like "turbo-Z" or "chrissy-B". but if your small time it doesnt matter. if i did get on flyers i'd ask to be "naz-magic" to keep ppl sweet but none of my lyrics mention the naz bit....just magic!!

The way i've always been taught is:

having a DJ name using your name is mainly used in the hard house/club scene.......e.g: scott brown, lisa lashes, judge jules

and having a themed name is like a rave scene tradition.
