im just in the process of building up my sample bank. ive been multisampling stuff from my juno g which sounds ok. but when i sample something from a cd, mp3, vynil etc, i always get a bit of a hiss through the drum ive cut or loop etc.

i might be being a bit of a perfectionist, but assuming the rip is "ok sounding" to begin with how do i get out hiss and low level noise?

i tried normalising then applying a noise gate but dont get much success.

is there a top piece of software or plugin that will knock this problem over without issue? how does everyone else get their samples ready?

i very good peice of softwere for this is adobie auduiton you can capture the noise profile and eliminate it, there are also his pop and crackle elimanators and it is firly esey to use, or have a look into the waves matering bundles like the x noise x hum ect there reely good but take a while to get the hang of imo, then eq it aswel to give it a bit of presance
