He's selling Bernard for 8 mil so that he can buy 2 more players with the money, I havnt seen him make any good buys this season except for Kluivert (which was actually Sir Bobby Robsons idea) and Babayaro!

Iv also seen on Sky News that he blames Sir Bobby for Bellamy leaving. Think about it, who did all the players respect........? Bobby! Fair enough, he might not have been to strictist manager we've had but he did a fantastic job of keeping the team in order! Even Dyer respected him, in his own way!

Southampton are holding talks with Newcastle defender Olivier Bernard on a possible £400,000 move south.
Saints assistant boss Jim smith told the club's website: "Bernard is talking to the chairman and he is a quality left-sided player.

"He has had a fall-out over his contract at Newcastle and has become available.

"He is a player Harry Redknapp has always admired and hopefully he will soon be playing for Southampton."

The French defender is out of contract at Newcastle at the end of the season but has refused a new deal, claiming it did not meet his wage demands.

Newcastle recently signed Celestine Babayaro from Chelsea, prompting Bernard to say he is being forced out.

Bernard's grievance at Newcastle was that he was not paid as much as other players, despite being offered a four-year deal worth £5.5m.

Saints boss Redknapp is keen to inject some pace down his left flank, and could play Bernard either in midfield or at left-back.

Redknapp moved for Bernard after a prospective £3m plus players deal for Nottingham Forest midfielder Andy Reid collapsed.
