quick paypal question

when you try and buy something through paypal, if you don't have enough money in your bank, does it charge you something? Because I tried to buy something last week but didn't realize I didn't have enough and I looked at my statement today and I think paypal have charged me because of it.

It wouldn't suprise me mate. Sometimes PayPal think they are a law onto themselfs and make up all sorts of rules and fines and charges to suit themselfs.

I wish a good standard alternative would come along and blow them right out the water to be honest.
